After replanting seeds, the Big Moon pumpkin has finally sprouted. Now all of the pumpkins have sprouted. The other pumpkins that have previously sprouted are now growing and getting bigger due to the almost daily rains in South Dakota.

Grandma is also trying diffent ways to keep squash bugs and borers away from the pumpkins. A couple of pumpkins have been covered with a netting to protect the plants from bugs. The rest of the pumpkins will be covered this week once the covers are delivered.

Grandma is a huge gnome fan. One part of the garden is decorated with gnome statues and decorations. On the deck, there are three gnome gardens. These mintature gardens are full of tiny plants, gnome figurines, small buildings and decor. Besides gnome decorations in the garden and on the deck, Grandma has gnome earrings, shirts, dish towels, plates, and Christmas ornaments.
